As a journalist, you'll become part of a skilled and focused editorial team that produces content for our digital news platforms. Our newsroom is a dynamic place where we strive to surface fresh insights and keep our readers up to date on the latest developments.

About the role

This position covers the full content creation process. Your core responsibilities will be researching, writing, and proofreading daily news articles and features for our titles. You'll also have the chance to interview thought leaders from the industry and to produce video interviews. The aim is to develop forward-looking content that our readers can't afford to miss. Over time, there will also be opportunities to attend international trade shows, exhibitions, and media trips.

 

Your work will appear on our leading industry platforms: The World of Food Ingredients, Food Ingredients First, Nutrition Insight, Packaging Insights, and Personal Care Insights. Your main focus will be Nutrition Insight.

 

As part of our editorial team, you will report to the Editor-in-Chief. This is an office-based role at our headquarters in Arnhem, with the option to work from home one day a week. To maintain a healthy work-life balance, we would prefer you to live in the Arnhem area.

CNS Media is a leading provider of B2B industry news and analysis on product development in FMCG-related industries. Key topics of specialization include business news, ingredient and product launches, research & development, and regulatory analysis.

Job requirements

Your responsibilities

  • Writing daily news stories

  • Proofreading news stories from peer journalists

  • Conducting interviews

  • Direct contact with industry thought leaders, executives, and industry representatives

  • Researching and writing in-depth reports and features

  • Creating engaging content for our newsletters and mailings

  • Uploading and organizing content via CMS

  • Keeping up to date with industry insights and pitching ideas

Your skills/qualifications

  • We are looking for a colleague with strong written English and verbal communication skills, a team player, and a positive can-do attitude.

  • Native English language skills are essential, both written and spoken

  • 3+ years of journalism experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is a requirement

  • Experience in a newsroom environment is an advantage

  • Commitment to detail, accuracy, time management, and working with tight deadlines
